Susan C. (Chervenak) Morris

On Thursday, June 29, 2023, Susan C. Morris, of Castle Shannon, passed away peacefully at the age of 75.

Daughter of the late George and Mary Chervenak, she is also preceded in death by her brother George (Barbara) Chervenak.

Mother of Stacy Slater and Tiffany Morris; sister of MaryAnn (Chuck) Callahan; grandmother of Brandon Slater and Josh Doyle; great-grandmother of Anthony and Ryan. Susan also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Susan was a secretary before becoming a successful business owner for two decades. Her love of interacting with people led her into her next chapter where she spent many years as a supervisor and cashier at Walmart making many friends along the way. She was always quick with a smile and the friendliest person you could know. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for anyone. Susan loved to frequent the casinos with her mother any chance they got – win or lose. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids who affectionately knew her as Gigi. She had a love of animals from a young age which she passed on, leading to many strays and residents in the house. She became the preferred babysitter by her Great Dane grandkids. Susan always had extra treats and toys, even making Halloween costumes for them. She enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Friends received Wednesday, July 5, from 1-3 and 5-7pm at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA 15234, where a blessing service will take place on Thursday at 10am. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
