Age 88, of Mt. Lebanon, passed away on April 24, 2022, Divine Mercy Sunday, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 19, 1933 to the late Francis and Elizabeth Broderick Ligday; he is survived by his former wife Patricia and their children Terrence Ligday Jr. and Anne Tanner and her daughter Amanda; loving brother of Jack Ligday (late Nedra), Betty Wellman (late Bob), Fritz Ligday (Kathy) the late Bertha Jane Lamanna (Louis), late Margie Zuck (Walter), and the late William Ligday; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews and children of friends he treated as his own. Terry was a 1952 graduate of Mars High School. He served as an Army Sergeant for the 17th Infantry Regiment in the Korean War from 1953-55. After the War he worked as a tile setter for Peter Paracca Tile & Marble and later cofounded D & L Tile Company. His work is displayed in numerous homes and buildings throughout the region and beyond. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Parish in Mt. Lebanon and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Volunteer. Terry, as a self-described Irishman, organized, planned, and attended many Pittsburgh St. Patrick’s Day events with local Parishes, Pastors, and friends. Terry also enjoyed sporting functions with friends and family and had a deep affection for all things Notre Dame. Many trips to Notre Dame and elsewhere were highlighted by a stop at shrines devoted to the Blessed Mother, in addition, to repairing a few. His faith was resolute, and he never minded sharing it openly with his family and others. He was loved and cherished by many for his kindness and thoughtfulness. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let Your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all faithful departed rest in peace, Amen
