Thomas F. Buettner

Age 68, peacefully at home in Castle Shannon, on Tuesday evening, March 7, 2023. Beloved husband for 48 years of Donna L. (Grivnow) Buettner; devoted father of Thomas F. Buettner, Jr. (Michelle), Heather Lynn Garcia (Anthony Vietmeier), the late Joy Lynn and Leigh Ann Buettner; loving grandfather of Kaylee, Brooks, Oscar, Alicia and Chelsea; brother of Raymond (Brenda) Buettner and the late Ruth Ann (survived by Vincent) Donatelli. Tom was a hard worker, often pulling double shifts with Allegheny County for over 20 years; a member of the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department for 35 years; and a member the American Legion Post #490. Tom was truly a ‘Jack of all Trades’ but his true passion was the joyous times he shared with his grandkids. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Cremation & Funeral Tributes, 1008 Castle Shannon Boulevard, Castle Shannon on Saturday afternoon from 3:00–6:00 and Sunday afternoon from 1:00-4:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Winifred Church (St. Paul of the Cross Parish) on Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment in Melrose Cemetery.
