Age 100, of Mt. Lebanon and Castle Shannon, died of COVID complications on January 25, 2021. She was born on February 14, 1920 in Castle Shannon. She was the daughter of the late Luigi and Louisa Felicetti. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters: Celina, Mario, Lou, Andy, Frank, Ray and George Felicetti, Mary Humphrey and Rose Dulavitch. Val retired from a career at Kaufmann’s Department Store in downtown Pittsburgh in the Men’s Department. She was a lifetime member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and a proud member of the choir there for 50 years. After retirement, she volunteered at the St. Anne’s nursery, made pierogis for Lenten suppers and made teddy bears for children in hospitals. At 90, she was still babysitting her great-great-niece. She is survived by her loving family: her eldest niece, Mary Louise Pullia, and many nieces and nephews. Val loved her family and her friends and enjoyed many happy times with them. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She loved to travel and kept up with current events. Interment will be private. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
