Ginny was born on August 14, 1938, to Glenn S. Cubbage and Juliane Codol in Canonsburg, PA. She spent her early years at her family home on 3rd Street in Houston, PA. She attended Canonsburg High School where she participated in Chorus, Drama Club, served on the Student Council and graduated in 1956. After graduation, she moved to Canonsburg, PA where she started her family and eventually moved to Mount Lebanon, PA, where she spent most of her adult life. She was an active member of Houston United Presbyterian Church and of Beverly Heights Presbyterian Church where she sung in the choir and served as a Deacon. Professionally, Ginny enjoyed her work as a secretary at Penn Record Systems, Amity Sales, Stephenson Williams Management Company and as a cashier at Marshalls.
Ginny loved life and lived it to its fullest. She had countless friends that she made over the years and always stayed in touch with them over the phone, visiting them in person or having them visit at her home. She was an avid reader and loved to cook for family and friends. For Ginny, family was always her top priority. She made it a point to travel to Nashville, TN, Johns Creek, GA and Boulder CO as often as she could to spend time with 3 her sons and their families. She cherished any time she could spend with her extended family and never missed a birthday or special occasion.
Ginny spent the last years of her life in Johns Creek, GA where she resided in the Evergreen Memory Care facility under the supervision and care of the wonderful staff at Arbor Terrace of South Forsyth. She was one of the favorite residents of the staff and they always looked out for her to make sure she had everything she needed.
