Age 74, of Scott Township, passed away suddenly on May 12, 2026, with family by his side. He was the son of the late William E. Upcraft Sr. and Suzanne (Medwig) Upcraft; beloved husband of Karen Dorman; loving father to Christopher (Carla) Abbott; dear pap of Cameron and Cole Abbot; son-in-law of Joan Dorman and Ralph Hathaway; brother-in-law of Marsha (Paul) Lackner, Laura Dougherty, Carl (Rose) Dorman, Linda (Jimmy) Ehland, Joan (George) Dawson and Elaine (George) Dorman; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bill was a graduate of Mount Lebanon high school. After attending Penn State University, he went on to become a contractor. “Chief” known to his family and friends will be forever remembered as a cat lover, gardener, and an avid golf fan, but above all, he loved spending time with his grandsons. Bill was a dedicated family man.
Family and friends will be welcomed on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at Laughlin Cremation and Funeral Tributes, 222 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m., at St. Bernard Church (Saint Michael the Archangel Parish) in Mount Lebanon. Interment to follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray, PA.
