Joanne Daerr Bean

Age 82, of Mount Lebanon, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, June 24, 2016. Wife of Blair G. Bean, Jr.; devoted mother of Michael Bean (Bea Fischer), James Bean, Catherine Maselko, Loretta Bean and Richard (Mary) Bean;  daughter of the late Leo R. and Anna “Irene” (Steiner) Daerr; sister of Irene Durkin, Loretta (Phil) Caputo, the late Virginia Egan, Nicholas and Christina Daerr; loving grandmother of Zach, Conor, Colin, Matt and Kerri; also survived by nieces and nephews. Joanne was a devout Catholic and graduated from Sacred Heart High School. She previously worked for a veterinarian and dearly cherished all pets. Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saints Simon and Jude Church, Greentree Road, Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock (Everyone Please Meet at Church). Interment will be private. If desired, memorials may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1028 Benton avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
