Joseph F. Klaja

Age 80, of Wilkinsburg, on Monday, October 5, 2015. Born and raised in Polish Hill, where he owned and operated a successful Auto Repair Shop for decades.  Most recently a member of  Saint Bartholomew Parish in Penn Hills. A son of the late Joseph A. and Anna (Istik) Klaja; the devoted father of Joseph M. (Terri) Klaja, Amy Klaja (Alex) Salamone and the late Cynthia Klaja (Patrick surviving) McLaughlin; loving grandfather of Jordan and Vittoria Klaja, Nicholas and Christopher Salamone and Xi Xi McLaughlin; brother of Patricia Johnson and the late Bernard Klaja. Joe was a proud Marine, served in the Korean Conflict and was a 30 year resident of Mount Lebanon. Family and friends will gather for a Mass of Remembrance in Saint Bernard Church, 311 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Friday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be Private. If desired, memorials may be made to Greater Pittsburgh American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Avenue, Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
