Miroslav "Mirsi" Pecman

Age 96, originally of Lawrenceville, passed away in his Castle Shannon home with his family at his side on Friday June 24, 2016. Son of the late Matthew and Mary (Maslo) Pecman; husband of the late Marion and Violet Pecman; loving father of Janet (the late Russell) Brooks and Linda (Gary) Simko; brother of Amelia Bunder and the late Mary Rossi; proud grandfather of Robert Brooks, Jeffrey Brooks, Nancy Gramm, Erin Swedish and Russell Mankowski; also survived by five great-grandchildren. Mirsi was a Army Veteran of World War II, a retired Mail Carrier with the US Postal Service, a member of the VFW and American Legion Post 490 and an avid bowler and dancer. Friends will be received at Laughlin Memorial Chapel 1008 Castle Shannon Blvd. on Monday 2-8 PM. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 1243 North Franklin St. Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
