My Uncle Dave was one of the best men I've ever known. Kind, loving, faithful. He was all of those things and more. We send our condolences that he is in heaven watching over all of you. We will miss him everyday. We thank God that he was part of our lives.

Dave, had many words of encouragement for others and kept his faith through all of his challenges. He always was a true friend and kept his door open who needed consoled. He lives with Him now but will be sorely missed here. Love always.

I got to know Dave through Cub Scouts. I was his sons leader through the years and Rob and my son Andrew became inseparable from then on. Dave was always so very willing to help anyway he could. He was awesome, kind, loving and so many other things. He will be greatly missed. Thank you Dave for teaching my son the love and respect for guns. Miss you friend! Peace be with you!

Robbie, Melinda, Chris & Ron I'm truly sorry for your loss. I still have Dave's Corvette,which he gave up for a more important part of his life. When I see it, almost every day , I think of Dave. He always said ,one day he will drive her ,again. She will always be Dave's car. Dave would meet Rick & I at Permanti's for lunch ,after Rick's therapy on Tuesdays. With the talks, I realized how devoted to Melina & Rob he was. I wish there were more lunches , but God has other plans for all of us. My friend, I truly miss you. One day we will meet again , where there will be no pain or hurts. We will only know and talk of the good times . Rich

Just want to say how sorry I am that Dave has passed. Dave attended Crossroads Church in Wintersville, OH for several years when he had the phone accessory booth at the flea market in Ohio. He would come early for our Sunday school class then head to the flea market. He was ROCK SOLID in his faith and a true encouragement to all that he got to know at the church. We continued to meet from time to time even after his schedule changed and he had to stop coming to the church. He continued to encourage me. I watched him handle so much turmoil with grace and love. He was a genuinely caring and kind man. A real rarity in our time. I will miss him.

My deepest sympathies to Dave's children and his entire family. There has been an incredible outpouring of grief from Dave's Vanderbilt fraternity brothers and extended college family. It is a testimony to the life he lived and the man we were all lucky enough to have known. We are all much richer for the impact he had on us. Rest in peace dear friend.
