Age 95, died peacefully on February 14, 2017 at Asbury Heights after living a long and full life. Issy was born on November 10, 1921 in Buffalo, NY and was preceded in death by her husband John P. McCormick, son Raymond Dewalt, brothers Joe Orton, Chuck Orton, Eddie Orton, and sisters Ella Blosl, May Tregesar, and Betty Borneman. Issy spent most of her life in the Brentwood and Castle Shannon area where she was president of St Anne Christian Mothers and president of Castle Shannon Seniors. She spent many hours volunteering for hospice and Baptist Home. Issy was always on the lookout for a bus trip to a casino or a good game of bingo or cards. Maidenbridge Apartments were home to Issy for years and there she was involved in as many activities as possible and was a frequent rider in the van service shuttling to and from Castle Village. She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved showing off their pictures to anyone she could corner. Issy’s survivors include her daughter, Suzanne Janson (husband Don) of Frisco, Texas and son, Donnie McCormick of Castle Shannon; her four grandchildren, Amy Fedora of Florida, Eric (wife Ruth Ann) Janson of Dallas, Texas, Billy (wife Ursula) Dewalt of Polluck, Louisiana and Tara (husband Peter) Leja of Mt. Lebanon; and her eleven great grandchildren. Issy is also survived by her many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to list but whom are not forgotten. Family and friends will be received at Laughlin Memorial Chapel 222 Washington Road Mt. Lebanon on Friday from 4-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Anne Church on Saturday at 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Via Quest Hospice, 610 Park Ave, Monongahela, Pennsylvania 15063 or Asbury Nursing Home, 700 Bower Hill Rd, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15243 in honor of Isabelle McCormick would be greatly appreciated by the family, as both of these agencies were very near to Issy’s heart.
