To Kathy,
I am so very sorry to learn of your mom's passing. I remember her great friendship to my mom, Anne, for so many years. after she moved to Pittsburgh, they corresponded through the mail and always got together when your mom was visiting Norristown. They enjoyed great times together. I know she is sadly missed.
Sincerely,
Beverly Gallagher

Sincere condolence on the loss of your mother, Kathy, Cynthia, Bill and families. Mrs. Smith was a remarkable woman who I have had the pleasure of knowing since Kathy's marriage to cousin Jack.

Cindy, Andrea and family,

We send our love. We pray for peace. Your mom was a precious lady. I'm sure you will miss her with all of your heart. Yes, you were very blessed to have her for 95 wonderful years. God obviously needed another angel so he chose your lovely mom. We will be praying for you for strength to get through each day. My mother always said...one day at a time...which is pretty good advice. Otherwise, life can get very overwhelming. Let us know if you need anything. With love and prayers❤️🙏🏻

To Ginny's children,

I was sad to learn of our mom's passing. I got to know her through the MLUMC United Methodist Women. I was 40 years younger than her and when I was a young mother with 2 little girls, she was always kind and encouraging, reinforcing the idea that I should trust my instincts and not take things too seriously.

I lost my mother when I was 18 and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her and wish she were here. I hope your memories of Ginny sustain you during the first year of grieving, which is the hardest -- though if Ginny were here, I’m sure she’d laugh her big laugh and encourage us to get on with things.

I’ll think of her fondly every time I bake her potato chip cookies.

Smitty had an amazing capacity to spread love and light to those around her. She would put you at ease in an instant and had a wonderful laugh. Her legacy lives on in her family, her friends, and the women of Girl Scout Troop #249 through whom I was blessed to meet her.

Our beloved SMITTY, leader of Mount Lebanon Girl Scout Troop #249, was an inspiration to each of her "girls." We mourn her passing, and rejoice in the memories that we shared over four decades. With deepest sympathy to her family we send our love.
