Judy Diethorn Petrich

On Tuesday August 9, 2016, of a cerebral hemorrhage, age 74 of Mt. Lebanon, PA. Born and raised in Jeannette, PA, daughter of the late Andrew Diethorn and Dorothy Updegraff Diethorn. Wife and best friend, for 49 years of Frank A. Petrich; mother of Mathew John Petrich (Jennifer Bollinger Petrich); grandmother of Sydney Elizabeth Petrich and Miles Andrew-Thomas Petrich, all of St. Louis, MO. Judy is also survived by her two sisters, Constance Zagar and Carol Diethorn. Judy was a Phi Beta Kappa and PhD graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (Experimental Psychology) and a lifelong Pitt, Pirates, Penguins and Steelers fan. We particularly want to express our profound appreciation to the many medical professionals who provided her with expert and compassionate care over her last four challenging years. Services are private. Donations may be made in her name to the Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemane (New Haven, KY), the Benedictine Mission House, Christ the King Priory (Schuyler, NE) and/or The Baptist Homes Society (Pittsburgh, PA)
