Buncie, I was so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We had lots of good times and many terrific memories together over the years, along with those many years with our sons. Brafferton Drive won't be the same without Don. At this time of loss, may you know HIS compassion, HIS grace, HIS love. May the love of God surround you, David, Erich and their families, during this time of sorrow. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Buncie, we are so sad to hear of Don's passing and all that he endured this past year. You have our sincerest thoughts and prayers as do David and Erich and their families. Health issues have prevented us from being with you now but we hope to visit with you personally soon. You and Don were such wonderful supports to us when we were starting our family and all through our time at then MLUPC. He and you remain in our hearts with great fondness always. My sympathies and prayers go out to the Campbell family. You and Sheldon did so much for our family with such kindness. I'll always cherish my childhood memories of holiday dinners with the "sisters" and the "cousins" - you were all so glamorous to me. My mother and Sheldon grew up together, with a co-hort of cousins, and she would often regale us with stories of all the fun they had together. She cherished the closeness of her extended family, and followed everyone's progress with pride and joy in their many accomplishments. My thoughts are with your family in this time of grief. We celebrate Sheldon's life and know that God has taken him home. "O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder, Consider all the works Thy hands have made; I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder, Thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee, how great Thou art, how great Thou art!"

Sheldon and I were classmates in grade school and high school. In grade school he was the tallest and best looking boy in the class and we all had a crush on him at one time or another. He was always a friend and I am sorry to hear of his passing.

So sorry to hear of Sheldon's passing. Don was a gentle man and a gentleman, friend and colleague during my tenure at the district. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. A classy guy. Goodbye friend.

Mr. Campbell is on the very, very short list of my favorite teachers ever. I was fortunate enough to be able to go on the 1989 Duren trip with him. It was my first trip to Europe, and had a major impact on me. He was a fantastic chaperone, and I am so happy to know that the program he started lives on.

Dear Roberta and Family

I am so saddened to read of Don's passing. He was always so very kind and pleasant to me whenever I would see him passing by in the high school. He would always stop and ask how my day was going and just say a few words. He always had a smile on his face, and I could tell, he clearly loved his life's work. I have been praying for Don for some time now, and I will continue to pray for you, Roberta, and your families. May your beautiful memories with Don and your times together give you comfort and strength in the years ahead.

I am sorry to learn of Shel's passing. It was good to see him and Roberta at the 1964 50th reunion last fall. He was a great German teacher, as well as a life-long friend through the church.

Dear Roberta and family, I was so saddened at Don's passing on Monday when I called you to arrange a visit with him! Given that Don always looked much younger than his actual age, I was sure that he would live to be 100. I am fortunate to have known you and Don for the past forty-eight years and I really enjoyed my lunches over the years with Don, Bill Hertel, and in later years, Bob Good. The four of us had many fun lunches with great conversations. I will really miss Don! I hope that your strength and family will help sustain you in your loss! Sincerely, Charles Cathey

Dear Roberta and family,

So sorry to learn of Sheldon's passing. What a pillar of our church, community, and educational system he was! (And you, too, Roberta--giving me a great educational start as my kindergarten teacher!!!) May you be comforted in Jesus' promise of eternal life to all who place their trust in him. Glad for our connection in the communion of saints! With love, Sally

We were so very saddened to learn of Sheldon's death. We have so many happy memories of times with him and with the entire family during our years in Mt. Lebanon. He was certainly a faithful and very supportive member of the choir. We thank God for his many gifts, and know he is now at peace with Our Lord. We wish we could be present as you celebrate his life! Buncie, you and your family are very much in our thoughts and prayers.
